-SALINA DOWNTOWN, INC. CONDUCTS COMMUNITY MARKET SURVEY -

Salina Downtown, Inc. is currently conducting a market survey to gather information from the community about their experiences, ideas and opinions relating to retail, arts & culture institutions, entertainment venues and restaurants available in downtown Salina. The survey has been distributed through a partnership with the City of Salina through monthly utility bills. The survey can also be accessed on this website under RECENT REPORTS or by calling the Salina Downtown office at 785-825-0535. The survey is short and will only take a few minutes to answer. Community response to this survey is important in assisting to make strategic plans for the future of Salina Downtown. The community is asked to return the survey no later than Friday, May 2, 2008. All of those who return the survey by this date will be automatically entered into a drawing for multiple Smoky Hill Silver gift certificates. Prizes will be drawn on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 – just in time for Mother’s Day.

Development Incentive Guidelines

2008 Guidelines and application forms are posted under Recent Public Meetings. This program replaces the Exterior Improvement Grants. The 2008 DIP is funded through a generous $50,000 contribution from the City of Salina. The funds are part of the quarter cent sales tax set aside for economic development in Salina.
