Join us for a sneak preview of SculptureTour Salina!

The pioneer piece for the project, designed by Bergen’s Sculpture Studio LLC, will be unveiled at 4:30 pm preceding a

meet-and-greet with the artist on Thursday, September 2 at

the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce: 120 W. Ash Street,

Salina, KS 67401.

Refreshments will be provided.

General Market Information:

The MARKET in the Lee District is located in historic Salina downtown inside the Strand Plaza, a beautiful pocket park between 118 and 120 South Santa Fe Avenue. The MARKET is held monthly on first Thursdays in May through October from 4 PM to dusk.

SDI Board of Directors Election Results

SDI Board of Directors announced election results at the regular monthly meeting August 10.  The following were elected to three year terms on the Salina Downtown, Inc. Board of Directors:

 Robin Cates, On the Pot                             

 Mike Hoppock, Land Title Services

 Brian Richardson, Richardson Development                  

 Barb Shirley, Martinelli’s Little Italy                         

According to Beth Vinson, SDI President, “The voter return was about the same as in previous years.  The new Board members bring a great diversity of business and outstanding leadership experience to the Board. SDI will submit the elected candidates to the Mayor for appointment to the Lee District Board of Advisors effective August 31st.”

Officers will be elected at the September 14, 2010 Board meeting.
